Dental teams are often challenged to not only restore, but to enhance the smiles of patients with missing teeth or teeth compromised by dental carries, wear, age, erosion or pernicious habits. This presentation will begin with a review of methods to assess the parameters that contribute to an ideal smile. It will continue with crown and veneer preparation techniques and then to crown, veneer and implant impression and provisional techniques that can be performed by dentists and their assistants. Innovative color and contour communication to the laboratory, and current optimally esthetic ceramics are explored in detail. Integration of dental implants in esthetic treatment with an emphasis on soft tissue development and their seamless incorporation with other types of restorations is demonstrated. Practical tips for appointment coordination, sequencing and appointment timing are included. This course is designed for dental teams who wish to explore an integrated approach to restoration techniques that simplify the process of esthetic rehabilitation and increase patient satisfaction with the overall dental experience.
